Welcome to NEAN, USA!

Nepali Elders Access Network (NEAN)

NEAN is a newly formed organization dedicated to empower nepali elders in the US. It is a non-profit organization founded in New York in 2025.

Our Vision

A future where every Nepali elder in America ages with dignity, connection, and purpose, deeply rooted in their rich cultural heritage.

Our Mission

To empower Nepali Elders by providing compassionate social, health, educational, and advocacy services

We are dedicated to:

  1. Combating loneliness through community and cultural connection.

  2. Improving health outcomes with culturally competent care and navigation.

  3. Fostering independence through essential skills and education.

  4. Honoring our seniors as cherished keepers of our traditions.

  5. Advocating for our elders’ needs within the broader community.

Nepali people have been migrating to the US for over three decades and are growing older. At the same time, there has been a spectacular rise in the number of nepali elders in recent years particularly because of chain migration. These are the people living in isolation, with little or without care and connection risking their wellbeing and becoming a burden to the greater community and a burden to the great nation. NEAN stands to mediate, solve and lessen burden on community and nation through small projects.
